Simple bows for your Christmas tree.

Bows are very trendy right now. They are also classic. Adding them to your Christmas decor doesn’t have to be complicated. Although there are many ways you can make your own ribbons, I still prefer the simplest of them all. Bunny ears lopped and pulled tight. This method works best with 3/8” satin ribbon. I love that they are simple, and elegant. They absolutely do not have to be perfect. The handmade look is the best. If symmetry is your aesthetic, trim the end to make them the same length. If you wan to be more playful simply let them be even if one end is longer than the other. Either way you will end up with a lovely bows.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of helping my BFFs, the Goldmans, design and decorate their Christmas tree. We landed on a blue, gold and white palette. Remember that there are no rules here. Choose colors you love. It can be different shades of the same color, or a variety of colors all working in harmony with one another. Have fun!

I recommend any of the following options:

  1. Navy Blue 3/8” Single Face Ribbon.

  2. Gold 3/8” Double Faced Ribbon

  3. White 3/8” Solid Fabric Ribbon
